UNESCO-IAHR Label for Water Training and Education
USM has received the recognition 'UNESCO–IAHR Label for Water Training and Education' for two of its graduate programmes: Doctor of Philosophy (River and Urban Drainage Management) and Master of Science (River and Urban Drainage Management). The recognition was formally received in Paris during the high-level commemorative event marking the 50th Anniversary of the Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP) and the 60th Anniversary of UNESCO Water Sciences, held at UNESCO Headquarters from 11–13 June.
The MSc and doctoral programmes, delivered by the River Engineering and Urban Drainage Research Centre (REDAC), focuses on advancing knowledge and research in water resources management, with specializations in urban drainage, river management, hydroinformatics, and environmental hydraulics.
